"Hey - What's CovChap.com?"

CovChap.com, the unofficial CC website, features interesting stuff and services that you might not find on the official CC site.

Notice: on Friday 1/19/07, this site and the email server moved to a new, better hosting. If you have a covchap.com email address, your service may be interrupted - but likely not. You can log in to your mail box with a browser at this address:  http://www.covchap.com:2095 - user name is  your full email address - - and your same pass. Easy to set up your Eudora, Thunderbird, or Outlook. WRITE BUD at bud (at) covchap.com if you have questions. Or, just call my cell at 913.634.1004.

CC has an official public web site that (unlike this one) is serious and sophisticated. A committee of very talented volunteers manages that site, and it has all kinds of useful stuff -calendars, information and tools, and excellent teaching, for example. It has a serious tone that's suitable for evangelism and missions. At that site, you might even see photos or other content from the CovChap pages you're reading.

It's a great site, you should use it, and we totally support it!!

This CovChap.com site (on the other hand), while still oriented towards the members of CC and our growing church community, features a far more casual presentation. Its aim is twofold: (a) to serve by providing free email accounts and (b) to foster and facilitate fine fellowship through fotos, as well as announcements and humor. CovChap offers a free email service, and maybe stories, band announcements, lots of casual pictures, and other assorted stuff like maybe frisbee scores - in a less formal format that the official CC web site. (An example? the CovChap Casual Pics Gallery!!)

And, it's a cool domain for you to have a free email address that may help you reduce spam, especially if you have a Road Runner or AOL or Yahoo or similar  account. Read more below...

CovChap.com, the unofficial CC web site, is provided as a service to the CC community by Bud Johns and CC Youth Director Dave Partin. Find us at www.UpwardHill.com.

All we have at CovChap.com so far is free email and the CC casual pics gallery. Read more about free email accounts here...

("Hey, Dave, does CovChap.com compete with www.CovenantChapel.com?"  "Absolutely not, Bud!!")
